Count Your Blessings

Galatians 3:8 “In the scripture for seeing that God would justify the heathen through faith. Preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying in thee shall all nations be blessed.”

I know that when we think of the blessings of God, the first thing we think of are things. Here, at the S.R.M., I see God bless us with things. It happens all the time. I’m so thankful for all these things. But things are not the greatest blessing to me. The greatest blessings are changed lives.

The greatest of these is when a man came to the Mission, who was angry with God. Things happened in this man’s life that he didn’t understand. Because of this the enemy had this man believe that God was the reason for all the things that had happened to him. We must always remember that God is not the problem, he is the answer. Now this man believed in God but he didn’t want anything to do with a God that would do such things.

The staff members at S.R.M. never stopped praying and believing that God would change this man’s heart. Now for the greatest blessing of all, this man changed his thinking, stop blaming God for the bad things, he put the blame right where it belongs, on the devil. In changing his thinking he gave his heart to Jesus. He is now a born-again child of the most high God. To me this is the greatest blessing of all.

Here at S.R.M. We have seen 12 men give their hearts to Jesus. Yes, the greatest blessing of all, the gift of salvation. I believe that Sanilac Rescue Mission will see many more men receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Remember, all you who support this mission with prayer and with giving are a part of this. We couldn’t do it without your support. Thank you so very much.

Thank God for the lives that have been changed and for the lives of those who will be changed because of those who have been changed.

All glory to the Father.

In His Righteousness,

Richard Germain
